80 Years description: Thanks to the time, passion and vigour of volunteers across our state, Netball NSW has produced the publication Celebrating 80 Years – The Modern Era to compliment the original historical publication 60 years of netball in New South Wales which documented the first 60 years of netball in NSW 1927 – 1987.
This publication looks at the period know as netball’s “modern era”, encapsulating 1989 – 2008 of Netball NSW.
The publication includes listings of all State Team representatives, Australian players, a snapshot of the 115 Netball Associations of the modern era and puts a spotlight on some of our remarkable netballers.
The book also includes a special “tongue in cheek” introduction from Daily Telegraph journalist Amanda Lulham who was the first journalist at the Daily Telegraph to specialise in the coverage of netball in New South Wales.
